Wasn't there a fourth wall there once?

SO. This being my first time playing such a well-known character, I figure I should address some things. Namely! What to do if your character recognizes Link.

Point the first: The Zelda games have been around a good twenty years. (Or is it twenty-one now?) They're also one of Nintendo's biggest franchises. Your character might not have played the game, but if they've heard the words "Zelda" and "Triforce" together, they may piece together just who Link is after talking to him. That's gonna be up to you guys to decide for all your characters! But it's something to throw out there, and I thought it might be helpful info for people whose canons might take place in the late eighties/early nineties.

Point the second: If your character would recognize Link, go for it, but please read the rest of this paragraph first. XDb If you know his name, he's going to be very perplexed. If you tell him he's from a video game, he's going to have no idea what you're talking about. I would prefer that people don't really mention his whole time traveling shenanigans at first, no "SUP THREE DAYS," and the same applies to who Sheik really is. This is, of course, liable to change depending on specific situations and character interactions, if Link notices that a character knows more than they let on he might ask them about what they know, etc. But I'd just like for people, audience and characters both, to not just blurt out the bigger spoilers/secrets of the game(s). Very few characters in the Zelda games know the truth about what Link did, so he's gonna be very very shocked to find people here knowing those details.

Bottom line on point the second is feel free to recognize him, but just know he's going to ask who the hell you are and how you know what you know. And please don't blab things like "Link has the Triforce of Courage on his hand!" If you're unsure, just hit me on IRC!

Sorry if that was way tl;dr. This is such new territory for me XD bear with me please! And I'm totally willing to work things out. =] Thanks!

So your last paragraph there makes me wonder, DOES Link have, right now, the piece of the triforce? And if so how might that ping all the various people who might sense that sort of stuff in camp? 'cause there's quite a few of them around, so I'm probably not the only one who'd be curious about how that would work...
OH SNAP, that's a good question. Thanks for asking! XD Uh. ... Crap.

I think that'd be a no. OoT's timeline never quite made sense to me, if only because Zelda and Impa flee the castle before Link gets the Master Sword and travels seven years to the future, but then when he returns to his original time Zelda is still chilling at the castle... BUT, based on that, it seems like things went back to the way they were before Ganondorf got a hold of the Triforce and therefore maybe logical to think that Link doesn't have his piece either. So, I'mma say no Triforce on him. XDb
Okay, that makes sense, then! I was just wondering since you referenced the triforce in your essay there. |D
Haha, yeah, maybe I should change that to "he HAD the Triforce of courage." It just seemed a good example of something that nobody but Link and Zelda should know. =]
Oh yeah, I know what you mean. Although if he did have it in camp, it'd be a good example of something nobody should know but a good dozen or more people would notice anyway. XD
Not that I own the boy but I do stalk, but I think triforce never really pings. Not unless it's, say, in direct use, and even then it's hard to tell? Say, it seems the higher ups in OOT--deku tree, the sages--are the only ones even remotely aware of the Triforce's aura, and that was the piece Gannondorf was using. And even before the sealing of a shouta-elf, he was swinigng his power around and mightily--I think the only direct useage he shows is the freezing of the Zoras and his "You Can't Kill Me So There.".

tl;dr portion: A quiet Triforce piece is an undetected piece? Especially since a lot of Link's daring actions are less based on the Triforce and more on his own moxy. At least, that's how I see it? Iunno zomg game discussion heeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Waya is canonically a Zelda fanboy, so you can pretty much bank on him hitting you up at some point and going OMG LINK 8DDDD, but since I've never actually played any of the Zelda games myself (... oh wait-- actually, I did play Ages for the GBC... like, five years ago xD?), I know next to nothing about his canon, so you don't need to worry about anything like that coming from me :3;.
Waya has earned like fifty bonus points in my book then. XDb And hey, if you get curious about any parts of the canon or for other games, feel free to poke me on those too. ^_~
Might wanna add in a note for NO TWILIGHT PRINCESS spoilarz. Yes strictly because I haven't played it an am selfish and imprinting on you drabble porn if you do? *Puppydog eyes*
... But I kinda think it'd be funny if people asked him where Mida was. XDb But uh. Yeah that game is pretty damn new so spoilers on it are a bad idea in general.... Huh.
Of the three characters I have, Light is the only one who knows who Link is, and he'll keep his mouth shut. ♥
